Liver Transplantation

A liver transplant is a life- saving operation that replaces a diseased and poorly functioning liver with either a whole or portion of a healthy donated liver. Liver transplantation has become a well-recognized treatment option for people with organ failure.
We are a multi-disciplinary group offering comprehensive evaluation and multi-modality treatment of liver transplantation offering living donor Liver transplantation , Cadaveric/ Deceased Donor Liver transplantation and multi-organ transplantation.

a. Live Related Liver Transplantation :

Replacement of a diseased liver due to chronic liver failure, acute liver failure or tumors within the liver. The diseased liver is replaced with a segment of liver from a healthy human donor (usually a relative or close friend).

b. Deceased Donor Liver Transplantation :

Replacement of a diseased liver due to chronic liver failure, acute liver failure or tumors within the liver. The diseased liver is replaced with a healthy liver from a “brain dead”human donor

GASTRO- INTESTINAL ONCOLOGY

Can cancers be get operated by laparoscopy? – YES with equal oncological results similar to open surgery with very less pain and minimal scar

Gastro-intestinal Oncology is a subspecialty of gastrointestinal surgery, which deals with the management of cancer of esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, rectum, anal canal, gall bladder & biliary tract, pancreas and liver. With the extensive knowledge of gastrointestinal anatomy and expertise in GI surgery, the department is dedicated in providing comprehensive treatment to every patient based on tumour board clinical meeting and evidence based medicine. Our advanced laparoscopic surgical team offers laparoscopic surgery for various GI tumours at par excellence with national and international standards.

MINIMALLY INVASIVE& ADVANCED LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY

Minimally invasive/Laparoscopic Surgery is a surgical technique which involves small incisions (Keyhole). The entire procedure is completed with the use of 3-4 ports (holes) with help of a camera to visualise the internal organs. The procedure is similar to open surgery except for small incisions. This minimal access surgery helps in early recovery of patients as they are usually walking around in a few hours after the surgery and can resume their daily activities in no time. Laparoscopic surgery causes minimal pain, quicker recovery time, smaller incisions, less discomfort, shorter hospital stay and has excellent cosmetic results when compared to traditional open surgery.

  • Hernia Surgeries- Inguinal and Ventral Hernias
  • Advanced Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal surgeries
  • Advanced Laparoscopic HPB surgery
  • Laparoscopic Oncological surgery
  • Surgery for Morbid Obesity
    • Restrictive Procedures: Lap Sleeve Gastrectomy
